TAXtv is a collection of tax related news stories, case studies and practical tips that are delivered as engaging TV programmes. The PTP team presents monthly updates on key tax topics relevant to tax advisers and accountants working in small to medium sized accountancy practices.

Tax CPD on demand

TAXtv is an annual subscription consisting of 11 pre-recorded TV episodes and where appropriate, a Budget edition. This ‘on demand’ product enables subscribers to download the episodes at a time that suits them, making it a very flexible way to keep up to date.

Each episode is approximately 55 minutes long and is broken down into a series of engaging chapters. Subscribers can view the episode in one go or select specific chapters to watch.

Adding value to Tax CPD training for accountants

TAXtv is a great way to access tax CPD on an individual basis. However, many accountancy firms use TAXtv to bring together their tax teams to discuss specific topics concerning their clients. This helps add value to the overall training experience and ensures clients are given the best advice.

Certifiable Tax CPD

Individuals required to submit annual CPD declarations can sign off the schedule of discussion points accompanying the monthly downloads. PTP can then verify their attendance, which can be used as a certifiable CPD activity.

 

The easy way to access tax training

The process for accessing TAXtv is as follows:

 

  • At the beginning of each month, a new episode of TAXtv is uploaded to the PTP website.
  • Subscribers are alerted by email and can log in and view the latest episode, choosing from three different file sizes to suit their bandwidth. The email contains a quick overview of the episode's content.
  • A schedule of discussion points pertinent to the episode can be downloaded from the website.
  • Subscribers can also download the programmes to their local machines to view them offline at their convenience.
  • In addition, subscribers logged into the website can view the archive of previous episodes. This provides a great technical and learning resource that can be accessed anytime during the subscription period.
  • The subscription licence is valid for 12 months, after this time access will revert to free content only. Therefore, we recommend downloading the monthly episodes as they become available.
